Sigma Phi Lambda

About Us

Phi Lamb is a Non-Denominational and Non-Panhellenic sorority. The sorority name is Sisters for the Lord. The Greek letters that represent the sorority are Sigma Phi Lambda (Phi Lamb) which is the basis of our symbol, the lamb. Our sorority colors are red for the blood of Christ and white for purity.

Our Mission

Sisters for the Lord is an organization of sisters for the Lord where fellowship with our most high God is fostered by growth in unity with one another.  We seek to provide a source of fellowship to Christian women who sincerely seek to know His person, His will, and His ways.  Phi Lamb has adopted the Apostle's Creed as its Statement of Beliefs.  The national constitution is shared by all of our chapters.

Phi Lamb's Belief Statement

The Apostle's Creed

 I believe in God,

the Father almighty,

creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ,

his only son, our Lord.

He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit

and born of the Virgin Mary.

He suffered under Pontius Pilate,

was crucified, died and was buried,

He went down to the dead.

On the third day he rose again,

He ascended into heaven,

and is seated at the right hand of the Father.

He will come again to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,

the holy *catholic Church,

the communion of saints,

the forgiveness of sins,

the resurrection of the body,

and the life everlasting.

*The word catholic is used in this context to mean universal.
